FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
-
How quickly can I be seen for a dental emergency?
-
At Smile Centre, we have emergency appointments available which are reserved daily. Call us in the morning to secure a spot. If we aren’t able to see you on the day, our friendly administration staff will help accommodate the next available appointment that suits you.
-
How often should I see the hygienist for a scale and clean?
-
It is recommended that you should get your teeth professionally cleaned and checked by a dentist every 6 months. Your hygienist may recommend more frequent visits if you are at higher risk of dental cavities or gum disease.
-
At what age should I book my child’s first dental appointment?
-
Generally, our dentists advise to visit the dentist once your child has begun growing their baby teeth. Although there normally isn’t any reason for concern at this age, it is a great way to get your child comfortable with sitting in the dentist chair and opening their mouth for the dentist.
-
Do you have HICAPS facilities?
-
HICAPS terminals are used at Smile Centre to claim your dental treatment at the time of the appointment. This way, there is no need for manual claims or paying your account in full! Simply bring your health fund card to your appointment to claim.
-
Do you offer payment options?
-
Generally, payment on the day is required for dental treatment. However, we can offer payment plans to existing patients* which may help ease the cost of the appointment. Please ask our friendly administration staff for more details.
